The Academy of Dental Assisting was started by Dr. Steven Meade, a dentist with more than 35-years of experience. The Academy of Dental Assisting provides students with the knowledge and technical proficiency that will allow them to become immediately employable in an entry-level position upon graduation. The Academy of Dental Assisting offers the best possible education in the shortest possible time so that students can really get out in the real-world and use their skills.

Students of Dental Assisting receive a modern, state-of-the-art education consistent with today's proper educational standards. All programs include a minimal amount of classroom instruction with a focus on hands-on training. Students of Academy of Dental Assisting learn not only assistant techniques, but take a course in business as well.

Quick Facts

The course at the Academy of Dental Assisting includes two classes. The Basic Dental business Assistant and Basic Dental is an 8-week training course, with 48 hours of classroom instruction along and a 40-hour externship in a working dental office. Basic dental assisting follows the same format.

A second course option is the expanded duties dental assistant (EDDA), an advanced course in patient treatment, which teaches the student various treatments including how to place dental fillings.

There are five locations in the Ohio and Kentucky areas for ease of use. Locations can be found in Cincinnati, Ohio, and in the following Kentucky locations: Louisville, Lexington, Frankfort, and Florence.
