The Academy of Therapeutic Massage & Healing Arts was founded by Katie Schelder, who has over 15 years of experience in both the massage and business community to train top quality massage therapists by focusing on the client/therapist relationship. An experienced and devoted faculty provides personal training and assistance to students, teaching them more than 19 different massage techniques, as well as successful business and marketing techniques. Courses can be completed in 600 hours over a six- month period that covers over 19 different techniques. Some course offerings include: on-site chair massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, sports massage, spa therapy & body wraps, connective tissue, CPR training, pre-natal, geriatric massage, raindrop therapy, medical massage and Swedish, to name a few. Therapeutic Massage & Healing Arts also offers workshops in reflexology, hydrotherapy, spa therapy, aromatherapy, sports massage and deep tissue massage.

The unique advantage at the Academy is that students make money, gain experience and establish a clientele base, all prior to graduating.
