Located on a 187-acre campus in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Bacone College is a four-year, liberal arts college associated with the American Baptist Church and a historic mission of educating American Indians. Founded in 1880, Bacone College is one of Oklahoma's oldest colleges of continued education. The curriculum at Bacone College helps students develop strong critical thinking skills, computer proficiency, mathematical ability, and self-expression in verbal and written form. Bachelor's and associates degree programs allow students to study in both professional programs and the arts and sciences.

Bacone College offers hundreds of courses through the Division of Arts and Sciences, the Division of business, the School of Education, the Cherokee Nation School of Information Technology, the School of Health Services, the Division of General Studies and the Division of Adult Education. The Billie R. Tower nursing Program within the School of Health Science features two nursing programs: an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing and an accelerated Bachelor of Science Degree program in Nursing accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission.

Bacone students can take advantage of off-campus and adult education programs in entrepreneurship, business administration, criminal justice, child development and general studies, as well as personalized certificate and training programs such as medical coding. The department can serve non-traditional learners in a number of customizable ways. Students can select to pursue a degree or certificate in the accelerated format, making full-time progress toward a degree but only attending classes once a week. The traditional semester format is also an option, along with various evening options.
