Baptist Memorial College of Health Science originated in 1912 to provide undergraduate,
health care education to those who seek to pursue a degree in higher education. The Memphis college began by offering baccalaureate degrees in both

Today,
Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences offers its students baccalaureate degree programs in seven areas: diagnostic medical sonography,
health care management, medical radiography, nuclear medicine technology, nursing, radiation therapy and respiratory care. Each program is accredited by a well-respected body and the Baptist Memorial College of Health Science as a whole is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
Baptist Memorial College of Health Science's main campus building totals 112,000 square feet in size. The atrium design houses education facilities, residence quarters, classrooms, conference rooms, the library, and faculty, staff and administration offices. The campus library offers
online indexes and catalogues, journals, books and additional multimedia resources. Two study rooms and a media room are in place for students to work diligently within groups or independently. Within the main campus building a laboratory for nursing students that offers resources for patient care stimulation. The laboratory also features a SimMan, which is an adult stimulation mannequin.
Getting involved in extracurricular activities at Baptist Memorial College of Health Science is both easy and rewarding. Activities at the College include Student Government Association, The National Student Nurses Association, Allied Health Student Association, B.A.S.I.C (Brother and Sisters in Christ) as well as a fitness center that offers aerobics and fitness programs and personal and group training.
