Founded in 1919, Baruch College is a public university and a flagship college in the City University of New York system. Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, Baruch College has been ranked among the top public schools in the Northeast by U.S. News & World Report and the Princeton Review.

Baruch College offers more than 20 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate-level specializations through its three schools: the Zicklin School of business, the Mildred and George Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Public Affairs. Students can also pursue certificate programs through the Division of Continuing and Professional Studies. A joint JD/MBA program is offered in conjunction with Brooklyn Law School, and study abroad opportunities are available at partner universities in 10 countries.

Baruch College is an NCAA Division III school with seven men's teams and seven women's teams competing at the varsity level. Students can also participate in more than 170 organizations on campus. The Baruch College campus includes the innovative Newman Vertical Campus, a 17-floor building that includes high-tech classrooms, a three-story recreation complex, a student activities center, a performing arts complex, a TV studio, a food court, and a bookstore.
