Established in 1890, Belmont University is an institution of higher learning grounded in
Christian beliefs and teachings that offers
liberal arts and sciences programs as well as professional studies. On 62 acres of historic land, Belmont University is located within downtown Nashville, Tenn., which is also known as Music City. At Belmont University students have the option to choose from more than 70 undergraduate and graduate programs within its seven colleges and schools. The seven schools of study include the arts and sciences,
business administration, entertainment and music
business, health sciences, religion, University College and visual and performing arts. From a students' freshman year at Belmont University they are given a chance to express their thoughts and accomplishments. In fact, Belmont's Undergraduate Research Symposium allows for more than 100 students to present their own research and findings. With programs like these, education at Belmont is first-class and engaging. Students will also see that upon graduating students are accepted into graduate programs at top-rated institutions including Princeton, Vanderbilt, William & Mary and Harvard.
Students at Belmont University are offered a number of study abroad programs that will further enrich their college experience and give them the opportunity to learn about another culture first-hand.
