Established in 1846, Beloit College rests on 40 acres of woodlands that are accented by winding pathways, public art, magnificent architecture--which includes four buildings that appear on the National or State Register of Historic Places. Here, at Beloit College students are welcomed to learn and enrich their minds with classroom instruction supplemented by hands-on learning experiences and cultural programs.

Beginning freshman year, students at Beloit College are enrolled in the First Year Initiatives Programs, which aims to give first-year students a look into critical thinking and the liberal arts. Each student is also assigned an academic advisor who will work closely with the advisee throughout his/her collegiate career and guide them in internship experiences, study abroad experiences and other campus recreation and opportunities. A student's advisor may also be critical in helping him/her decide upon a major to study; with more than 50 majors to choose from there are an abundance of options available to students at Beloit College. Prospective students will be happy to know that no more than 10 percent of Beloit College's graduating seniors are represented from each major. This means that class sizes are small and teachers known their students on a first-name basis; at Beloit College students are more than a number.

Educationally enriching facilities on campus at Beloit College include the Logan Museum of Anthropology, the Wright Museum of Art, a performing arts complex and research labs that house up-to-date technologies. Students at Beloit College can enhance their educational experiences through internships, international study and field study programs. In fact, Beloit College is recognized for their international education programs.

And with more than 100 student organizations and clubs, students at Beloit College can find an activity that really unites them with their campus. Another great way to connect with peers is through residence life. At Beloit College almost all students live on-campus in residence.
