Canisius College is
Western New York's premier private comprehensive university, consisting of the College of
arts and sciences, the Wehle School of
business, and the School of
education and Human Services. Founded by members of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1870, the 58-acre campus houses 37 buildings, which contain the modern resources needed to give students a quality education.
In the last 12 years, Canisius College has invested more than $115 million to create state-of-the-art academic, recreational and residential facilities. Eighty percent of campus housing has been built new or renovated in the last eight years.
Canisius College offers quality academic programs taught by faculty who are leaders in their fields. More than 70 majors, minors and special programs through the College of Arts & Sciences, the Richard J. Wehle School of
