Carlos Albizu University (CAU) is a private, non-profit institution of higher learning dedicated to the study and understanding of human endeavors from a holistic, dynamic, and integrated perspective. Through its expert faculty, CAU offers exciting and challenging programs in business administration, education, and psychology. CAU has two campuses: the Miami Campus, and the San Juan Campus. With more than 40 countries represented in the student body, CAU's diverse Miami Campus thrives in an area rich in multicultural diversity. Both the San Juan and the Miami campuses are known for training students who can respond to the needs and demands of a multi-ethnic population. CAU is concerned with social issues affecting our society, and committed to excellence in program offerings, continued faculty contribution, and the achievement of a higher level of knowledge, skills, and competence in its graduates.

Quick Facts:
Established in 1966, CAU is the only fully accredited secular university in the United States named in honor of a Hispanic. CAU classes are small, with flexible schedules, and all coursework is conducted in English. The institution was founded in Puerto Rico in 1966 with the specific objective of offering a master of Science degree in clinical psychology. Over the years, CAU has expanded its course offerings. CAU's Miami Campus is located in a city with one of the highest percentages of people of Hispanic origins in the United States, and therefore offers a unique opportunity for students to better understand the various ethnic groups that make up the U.S. All academic programs at Carlos Albizu University's Miami Campus are regionally accredited by The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSACHE). CAU's San Juan Campus is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the clinical psychology programs are accredited by the American Psychological Association. The San Juan Campus has adopted both Spanish and English as the official languages, and although Spanish is the predominant language in the classroom, students may express themselves in English. If enough students request it, classes may be given in English.
