Central
Bible College was founded in 1922 offering a
Christian centered education in a variety of academic disciplines. The college offers several divisions, including the division of Biblical Education, the Division of Church Ministries, the Division of Ministries and Evangelism, the Division of Fine Arts and Communication and the Division of Arts and Sciences. Each of these divisions offers program studies such as Bible and Theology, Children's ministries, Philosophy and Physical Education. Central
Bible college also offers a dual-major program through which the first major students take is the major in Bible. There is also an option for students to attain a
Christian education Diploma and Certification.
Central
Bible college offers many student organizations on campus including the Campus Radio Station and Student Government Association. Students can also take advantage of a varsity sports program offering men's and women's basketball, volleyball and more.
The men's basketball team at
CBC are national NCCAA championship winners with three wins.
Among the many state of the art facilities is the Forest Arnold Activities Building. This facility includes a collegiate sized gym, weight training rooms, racquetball courts and more.
Students at Central Bible College can enjoy a multitude of recreations and cultural activities off-campus in the town of Springfield as well as on campus. There is something for every interest including the Air and Military Museum of the Ozarks which features a hands-on approach to military history. Another attraction is the Springfield Skate park, a 13,500 square feet indoor park and a 25,000 square foot outdoor concrete park with "rippin' bowl, flow course and street plaza." Students can also enjoy ethnic restaurants, theatre, the Springfield Hot Glass Studio, the Springfield Conservation Nature Center and more.
