Central Wyoming College is best known for its nursing program, which offers an associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing for its graduates. Students who enroll in the nursing degree program take the following courses: English comp. I & II; general microbiology; American and Wyoming government; general psychology; human anatomy; human physiology; math 1000 or higher; fundamentals of nursing; pharmacology I and II; mental health and illness; medical-surgical nursing I and II; client in the community; nursing care of parents and children; and trends in nursing leadership.

Prospective students wishing to apply to Central Wyoming College, must have a high school diploma or GED; transcripts and SAT/ACT scores. If transferring from another school or are an adult learner ready to make a career change, students must also provide transcripts from high school; SAT/ACT scores and transcripts from other colleges or universities attended. There is on-campus housing available at Central Wyoming College.
