This Christian college in Virginia was founded in 1977 with only a handful of students. Today, Christendom College has grown to include a number of Bachelor's programs, as well as a graduate program in theology. Throughout its metamorphosis, Christendom College has remained strongly committed to providing quality education centered on Christian values of the Catholic Church. In turn, it graduates many highly successful, well-rounded individuals.

Bachelor's degree programs include English, history, philosophy, political science and economics, and of course, theology. Through the Master's of Arts in theological studies, students can focus of one of three concentrated areas including systematic theology, moral theology and catechitics. Because this College in Virginia believes in expanding students' horizons in all aspects of their lives, students are encouraged to supplement classroom courses with study abroad programs and internships.

At this Christian liberal arts college, students can expect to gain much more than academic knowledge. The campus hosts an extensive guest speaker series open to the extended community, exposing students to a diversity of ideas. This Christian College in Virginia also offers a number of specialized programs, like the Latin Immersion program for area high school students, as well as the Vita Consecrata Institute, which explores the historic tradition of the Church. Christendom College also offers courses through its Summer Institute, taught by theological leaders from around the world.

As a spiritual institution, Christendom College strives to provide a stimulating and diverse environment. Many students take free time to enjoy the walking and jogging trails, daily Mass and prayer sessions as well as the natural surroundings of the campus. The Shenandoah River, which runs near campus, offers boating, kayaking, fishing and other outdoor sports. It's also a peaceful and spiritual addition to this College in Virginia.
