Founded in 1933, Clark community college as a robust history of providing students with educational options. Today it's home to more than 12,500 full and part-time students that hail from domestic and international locations. On this sprawling 80-acre campus, Clark Community College students have access to one and two-year associate and technical degree programs as well as a host of school-sponsored cultural and social events. Over 100 degree and certificate programs are offered on campus and since the school operates on a quarter rather than semester system, students have more freedom to choose

Student support services offered on campus include free academic advising, computer lab access, career counseling, financial aid advising, personal counseling, and job search help. Students can also get a foot in the door of their career before they graduate through the Clark Community College Cooperative Education program. Co-op students gain on-the-job experience by spending a quarter (or a few quarters) working in paid positions within their field. Upon graduation, Clark Community College co-op students not only leave campus with a degree or diploma, they also bring a packed resume and industry contacts with them into the job market. Students who can't devote a full quarter to cooperative education may opt for a non-paid internship, volunteer program, or service learning activity to help beef up their resume.

Clark Community College also offers non-credited courses and specialized field trips for lifelong learners. For younger learners, personal development workshops in areas such as babysitting, cartooning, and free-writing give students ages eight and above the opportunity to get in on the community college action. Through Clark's Running Start program, exceptional high school students may also enroll and get a few college credits under their belts prior to high school graduation.

Clark Community College works to accommodate students from a wide array of backgrounds. Students who can't make it to campus regularly are welcome to enroll in any of the school's online programs of study. Clark also provides workforce development workshops, corporate training programs, professional development resources, and a small business development center.
