Founded in 1904 by the Order of St. Ursula, The College of New Rochelle is a Catholic
women's college in New Rochelle, a suburb of New York City. Although its first class was comprised of just 12 students, this
New York College has grown to include six campuses and four schools with a total enrollment of close to 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
This Catholic women's college offers dozens of majors in four different schools: School of Arts and Sciences, School of
nursing, School of New Resources, and the Graduate School, of which the latter two are co-ed. Undergraduate offerings span a wide range of majors, including
business, environmental studies, education, psychology and women's studies. A number of pre-professional programs are also offered, including law, medicine, and social work. One of the most respected programs in the country, the School of Nursing offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The School of New Resources provides working adults with flexible opportunities to return to campus for their baccalaureate degree. The Graduate School at the College of New Rochelle offers graduate degrees and certificate programs in art and communication, education and human services.
Located just 16 miles north of Manhattan, the College of New Rochelle offers students easy access to all of the cultural, entertainment and employment opportunities in New York City. Although some of its programs have expanded to admit male students, this
Catholic College still maintains a supportive undergraduate program that prepares women to become strong leaders in their respective fields.
