In 1977, the history of Columbia Gorge community college began. Originally named Wasco Area Education Service District, the school was designated as a service district. Twelve years later, the school became a Community College and gained its current name. Today, this Oregon college is dedicated to serving students from throughout the Mid-Columbia region in Oregon and Washington.

In order to provide a quality postsecondary education to students, Columbia Gorge Community College offers a variety of certificate and associate degree programs in a number of subjects and fields. From accounting, juvenile corrections, and management, to early childhood education, business, and computer programs, these degree courses are sure to appeal to most anyone.
