Cornell University Summer College offers a "Take a Prof to Lunch or Dinner" program, which allows students to learn more about their professors. It also gives the professor a chance to learn about the student and for the professor to write well-informed letters of recommendation.
Cornell University Summer College holds a career fair, where Cornell admission officers lead sessions to answer students' questions and offer suggestions on avoiding application jitters. They inform students of how to get the most out of campus visits and instruct them on how to write an essay that will pique an admission committee's interests.
