Day Spa Career College provides educational opportunities in Cosmetology through an exceptional curriculum and hands on experience with state of the art equipment and training materials. Experienced instructors and specialty demonstrators give Day Spa students the skills needed to succeed in the beauty industry. The college is located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and serves the areas of Pascagoula, Gautier, Mobile, Biloxi, Gulfport, Jackson, George County, Moss Point, Long Beach, Pass Christian, Hattiesburg, and Laurel, Mississippi.

Day Spa Career College offers programs in cosmetology, esthetiology, Nail Technology and instructor training. The cosmetology program requires 1,500 hours of training completed in less than nine months. Courses include sanitation and disinfection, personal hygiene, professional ethics and salesmanship, anatomy, trichology, chemistry, safety precautions, skill demonstration, state cosmetology laws, rules and regulations and more than 10 skill requirements courses.

The esthetician program is 650 hours with theory and practical training in various areas of skin care. Courses include hygiene, public health, methods, procedures, personal attitude and image, state laws, rules and regulations, management practices, salon development, insurance, taxes, client records, salesmanship, histology of skin and more than 20 other courses.

The nail technology program is 350 hours of theory and practical education. Courses in nail technology include nail technology as a profession, salon practices, manicuring skills, arms, hands, feet, and lower legs, chemistry in nail technology, sanitation and safety measures, and Mississippi state law rules and regulations. The instructor training program requires 750 or 2000 hours of study.

cosmetology programs present a wide range of career opportunities for students. Students can provide hair care for all hair types and perform facials as well as microdermabrasions, hair removal/waxing, makeup artistry, acrylic nail application, manicures, and spa pedicures.

Financial assistance is available for students who qualify. The college is a preferred provider for Work Force Investment Act. Pell Grants are also available.
