Academy of Physician Assistants provides exceptional
health care to the communities in the state of Delaware, and provides aid and information to physician assistants and students. They hold bi-monthly general
business meetings that physician assistants, students and friends can attend.
Delaware Academy of Physician Assistants' members have graduated from an accredited physician assistant program that is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or are students who are currently enrolled in an accredited physician assistant program. The academy gives the community access to exceptional affordable
health care, gives the public information about the physician assistant profession, represents physician assistants before Congress and health-related organizations, strives to maintain the competency of physician assistants by developing curricula and accreditation programs, and it provides additional services to its members.

Delaware Academy of Physicians Assistants' members can participate in the Temple Lung Center's continuing medical education series through the Temple University School of Medicine. Those who participate in this program will be able to classify severity of illness in COPD and recognize the role of new drugs and surgical therapy in the treatment of COPD as well as optimize oxygen therapy, provide rehabilitation and nutritional support for the COPD patient, and review the role of exercise testing in COPD patients.
Delaware Academy of Physician Assistants holds an annual continuing medical education event. The events are worth four to five Cat I CMEs. The event provides a variety of topics and numerous activities.
