Delta School of Business and Technology is a private institution also known as Delta Tech, founded in 1970. The school moved to Lake Charles' historical district in 1977 and is on the city's register of historical structures. Delta School of business and Technology offers programs in high-demand areas of business and technology .

Delta School of Business and Technology offers associate degrees in accounting, administrative assistant (computers), administrative assistant (legal), business management, drafting technology, information technology, and medical office assistant. The accounting program can be completed in nine months. The administrative assistant program can be completed in nine months during the day and in 12 months at night. Students can complete the medical office assistant program in 12 months. Delta Tech's degree programs have an 18-month completion.

  • Delta Tech also has a scholarship program for graduating high school students. Scholarship recipients must begin school in the summer or fall session, and they will receive a 50 percent tuition credit applied to the program of their choice.
