Denmark Technical College is a public, comprehensive, Historically Black, Two-year technical college located in rural Bamberg County. Denmark Technical College is committed to providing quality academic programs to ensure that students are prepared to enter the world of work.

As a member of the South Carolina Technical College System, Denmark technical College's mission is related to the educational mission of the State of South Carolina and the Technical College System. The South Carolina college's primary service area is comprised of Bamberg, Barnwell, and Allendale Counties with a legislated mandate to serve students throughout the state. As an open-door institution, Denmark Technical College provides affordable, post-secondary education culminating in associate degrees, diplomas, or certificates, to citizens from diverse educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.

The College seeks to fulfill its mission by offering the following programs using multiple instructional methods, including traditional lecture and lab and distance education through interactive video and satellite technology for both on-campus and off-campus instruction: technical education, general education, continuing education, transitional studies, specialized training programs, and region and community services.

The college transfer programs at Denmark Technical College provide an opportunity for students to receive an Associate in Arts or an Associate in Science degree. Students may also choose from many Associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate programs.

The South Carolina college annually serves approximately 2,000 credit and continuing education students, a mix of traditional, nontraditional, full-time and part-time.

Denmark Technical College is the only technical college in the State of South Carolina with on-campus housing.

At this South Carolina college, completion of courses directly equivalent to the first two years of traditional college study as offered at senior colleges and major universities which may be transferred to senior colleges.
