Doane College, founded in 1872, is Nebraska's first
liberal arts and sciences college. This private, independent, coeducational college, offers traditional and nontraditional undergraduate and graduate programs. With campuses in Crete, Lincoln, and Grand Island, Nebraska, Doane College has more than 20 academic departments within five divisions.
Doane awards Bachelor's degrees in more than 40 majors and dozens of minors. The five top majors are Education, Biology,
business, Music, and Psychology.
Doane College provides foundation courses for future study at other institutions. Doane offers pre-professional programs in: pre-
engineering, pre-environmental studies, pre-law, medical, dental, and
Allied Health, pre-ministry, and pre-veterinary medicine.
Doane awards three outstanding graduate degrees: Master of Arts in Counseling, Master of Arts in Management, and Master of Education.
The College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association (NCA).
