massage therapy licensing examination. In Los Angeles, students only need 300 hours to become licensed. The program at the
California school includes 100 hours of lecture and discussion, 100 hours of lab work and a 100-hour clinic practicum. Not only will students at Doctor's Massage School receive a broad knowledge and education in theory, but students receive hands-on experience under the supervision of a doctor of chiropractic.
During the theory portion of the program, students at Doctor's Massage School learn massage history and theory, pathology, anatomy and physiology, public health, terminology, and ethics and
business aspects. The lab section teaches application of massage techniques. Finally, the clinic practicum gives students the opportunity to work in a clinical setting with clients.

In order to attend Doctor's Massage School, students must be at least 18 years old, be able to physically perform massage and be able to understand English. The California School does not offer ESL classes.
Students at Doctor's Massage School are expected to have a high standard of personal hygiene, attend class regularly, participate in class and complete homework assignments.
After completing the program at Doctor's Massage School, students will know basic anatomy and physiology, understand how organ systems work and function, understand physiological and mechanical effects of massage, and be able to perform a full body massage in less than one hour.
