Dominican University of California was founded in 1890, it was a Catholic college, today the school functions of an independent
liberal arts institution of higher learning that accepts students and faculty from an array of religions and cultures. Despite being just 12 miles away from San Francisco, the California college boasts an 80-acre wooded campus.
As of the 2007-08 school year, nearly 1,500 undergraduate -- and 630 graduate -- students were enrolled at the Dominican
University of California. Despite this impressive enrollment, the California college manages to boast a student-faculty ratio of 11 to one, and an average class size of 15. The university also offers a number of different bachelor's and master's degree programs, majors, and minors. From courses in philosophy, political science, sports management,
