Prospective students wishing to apply to East Georgia College must have a high school diploma or GED and provide transcripts to the college. Students who attended another college must also provide a transcript from all other colleges and universities. If students do not have an ACT or SAT score, they most likely will need to take a skills test before being admitted to the college. There is no on-campus housing at County College of Morris, but the college can help students locate affordable student housing off campus. Students enrolled at East Georgia College have access to the campus library, as well as all of the school libraries in the University System of Georgia.

Students at East Georgia College have the opportunity to study abroad through the University System of Georgia. The college system encourages students who wish to learn a different culture, foreign language or international studies to take advantage of the study abroad opportunities. East Georgia College has an extensive physical education and sports complex. The campus features six lighted tennis courts; fitness center; a gymnasium; gymnastics and space for disc golf.
