Institute of Technology, opened in 1991, provides students from Apache Junction, Chandler, J.O. Combs, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Higley, Mesa, Queen Creek, Scottsdale and Tempe high schools tuition-free career and technical education. The 65-acre campus also offers adult education classes.
High school students can dual enroll with EVIT and Chandler/Gilbert Community College,
GateWay Community College,
Mesa Community College or
Scottsdale Community College. East Valley Institute of Technology offers 35 occupation-specific programs, including: welding; surgical technology; radio broadcasting; pre-
engineering; practical nursing;
Cosmetology; culinary arts; and commercial banking.
Evening classes are available for students that are 18 and older.
Quick Facts
Students attend high school half-day and EVIT half-day, Monday through Friday.
High school students who meet class prerequisites can attend East Valley Institute of Technology free of charge.
