East West School of Herbology has been in operation since 1980 and offers training to home herbalists, herbal professionals and clinical practitioners. Study is accomplished through self-paced correspondence courses.

Courses at the california herbology school include: a 12-lesson family herbalist course; a 36-lesson community herbalist course; a 36-lesson professional herbalist course that awards a certificate at the completion; and a 36-lesson East West chertified erbalist degree program.

Students at the East West School of Herbology typically take about six months to complete the family herbalist course, less than two years to complete the community herbalist course and the professional herbalist course, and three or more years for the East West certified herbalist degree program.

Students can select to participate in a mentorship program that guides graduates through clinical experience and study.
