The Echelon Edge Academy of Hair, Skin and Nails is a new, 17,000-square-foot facility with private classrooms, work stations, labs, client reception, a student lounge and management offices. The academy offers Cosmetology, esthetics and master esthetics programs for students looking to enter into and advance within the field of beauty.

The cosmetology program at Echelon Edge Academy of Hair, Skin and Nails is formulated around the Pivot Point International curriculum and focuses on the health, condition, and appearance of hair, skin and nails. Throughout the program, students engage in lessons and instruction in shampooing, draping and properties of the hair and scalp; electricity and light therapy; hair cutting; barbering; permanent waving and chemical relaxers; hair coloring; hair styling; wigs and artificial hair; sterilization and sanitation; make-up application; facials; nail services; and state rules and regulations.

The basic esthetician program focuses on theoretical and practical application of skin care, which includes facials, make-up, basic color psychology, and related anatomy and physiology. Students at the Echelon Edge Academy of Hair, Skin and Nails also learn massage, relaxation, and cosmetic techniques. Students study more than 10 different course areas that will prepare them for their careers within the field of esthetics.

The master esthetician program focuses on advanced skin care, including microdermabrasion, chemical peels, advanced aromatherapy, and advanced pedicures. Lymphatic massage and stone therapy are explored during the program. Students study chemistry, sanitation, body wrapping, waxing, pedicures, aromatherapy, anatomy and physiology, history of the skin, electricity, health and safety, licensing requirements and rules and regulations as well as facials and hydrotherapy.
