Elizabethtown College is a private, comprehensive institution offering academic programs in the liberal arts, sciences, and professional studies. Founded by members of the Church of the Brethren in 1899, this Southeastern Pennsylvania private college believes that learning should be used to benefit others and affirm the values of Peace, non-violence, human dignity, and social justice.

Elizabethtown College offers a mix of liberal arts and professional studies across more than 20 departments. The core curriculum emphasizes arts, humanities, and sciences to help students develop interpersonal communication, writing, creative thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

At Elizabethtown College, students are taught to be global citizens, understanding the interconnected ways of life of the international world in the 21st century. Faculty members from around the world speak a multitude of languages and have had a variety of study and residential experiences on other continents. Students encounter their international world when they study alongside students from other countries and when they visit, study, or live abroad.
