Emily Carr Institute of art and Design provides a balanced education where students are enriched academically while achieving professional, real-world practice. It is British Columbia's only specialized university of Art, Design and Media.

The school offers three undergraduate degrees in visual arts, media arts and design, each of which is carefully balanced between studio, academic education and practice and a Masters of Applied Arts degree, designed to develop the specialized skills and knowledge needed to link art, design and media to industry and professional practice.
