Established in 1997, FAKS Allied Health education Center is a post-secondary institution that offers coursework for students aspiring towards a certified nursing assistant program as well as basic and A+ computing, medical coding and billing, patient care, phlebotomy, and retail Pharmacy Technician.

The certified nursing assistant program at FAKS Allied Health Education Center provides students a curriculum on basic nursing skills. Areas of focus include CPR and first aid, total patient care, taking vital signs, communication with patients and family members, resident's rights, and infection control and safety measures. The medical coding and billing program at FAKS Allied Health Education Center introduces students to the medical office, including courses in answering phones in a physician's office, scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance, terminology and abbreviations, ICD-9 and CPT coding, and entering data into a computer billing system. Students interested in pharmaceutical studies can enroll in FAKS Allied Health Education Center's retail pharmacy technician program. Throughout the curriculum students learn how to dispense medicines in hospital and retail pharmacy atmospheres. Students receive training in filling prescriptions, legal and ethical pharmacy practices, and ordering and billing supplies.

The patient care technician program is an advanced course of study for C.N.A.'s looking to acquire advanced nursing skills. Students within this program learn venipuncture and EKG, clinical laboratory procedures, catheterization, patient assessment, office procedures, and the use of medical terminology. Students interested in learning basic venipuncture and electrocariographic skills can enroll in the phlebotomy and EKG program. Students practice property laboratory procedures, infection and safety control, proper specimen collection, and patient rights. Because today's medical industry relies heavily on computers and electronics, a basic and A+ computer training program is also offered at FAKS Allied Health Education Center. Students receive training in Windows XP, files and folders, surfing the Web, problem solving, and digital media.
