Ferrum College is a liberal arts institution founded on Christian principles. Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwestern Virginia, this four-year, residential college awards Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of fine arts, Bachelor of Science, and Bachelor of Social Work in more than 30 majors and dozens of minors.

Founded in 1913, Ferrum College is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Ferrum College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and is ranked in the top tier of southern comprehensive colleges by U.S. News and World Report.

Ferrum, Virginia, is located just 35 miles from Roanoke and 70 miles from Greensboro, North Carolina, providing easy access to shopping, social, dining, and entertainment opportunities, while nearby small towns brim with regional heritage. The rich, natural beauty of Ferrum features mountains, lakes, rivers, and state parks. A wide variety of outdoor adventures and recreation abound.

Ferrum College offers 33 areas of study ranging from business and environmental science to teacher education and criminal justice, free in-room computers, small class sizes, and a dedicated faculty. The over 1,000 men and women who attend Ferrum College come from 25 states and a dozen countries, and 80 percent live on Ferrum College's 700-acre campus.
