Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles
Located on the picturesque Caribbean island of Bonaire in the Netherlands Antilles, the Fish Eye Photo School of Underwater
photography provides short courses in underwater
photography techniques to both beginning and more
Advanced students. Tourists and
Photography professionals will learn the basic techniques of underwater photography at this school that has been in
business for more than a decade. Half-day and full-day classes are offered, in addition to more intensive classes that can last up to three days.
Every class at the Fish Eye Photo School of Underwater Photography includes a short classroom session, camera and strobe use, and one instructor assisted dive on Bonaire. Full- and multi-day courses feature more in-depth classroom instruction and additional dives. Classes at Fish Eye are appropriate for students of all skill levels, from amateurs to more advanced students. No matter what the student's background it, the trained instructors at the Fish Eye Photo School of Underwater Photography provide personalized attention to all students, ensuring they get the most out of their time at the school. Courses can be customized to meet an individual's particular needs and background.
After finishing the course, all Fish Eye students receive a CD or DVD that contains the images they shot during their time at the school. Students who want more permanent memories of their experience can purchase a recording of one of their dives on DVD. The school provides computer access so that students can view, modify and store their photos. In addition to classes, the Fish Eye Photo School of Underwater Photography also operates a full-
service shop that carries digital cameras, digital video cameras, lenses, strobes, sync cords and more. And because Bonaire is situated below the "hurricane belt," bad weather is rarely an issue, and student dives (which take place on the island's leeward side) generally take place in calm water.
