In close proximity to the Tucson International Airport, the Flight Control
Academy shares affiliation with a number of commercial air service companies including Jeppesen and Global Weather Dynamics. The
Academy offers students dispatching and operations training through a certification program. The aircraft dispatcher course at the Flight Control Academy prepares students for their examinations, which must be passed in order to receive an aircraft dispatcher
certificate. With certification and knowledge obtained from in-class and hands-on training, students are prepared to dispatch aircrafts by following the proper Federal
Aviation Regulations (FAR).
Students who enroll in the aircraft dispatcher
certification course undergo 200 hours of instruction by well-trained professionals. Students must be 23 years in age in order to receive certification but may enroll in the program at the age of 21. They must be able to read, speak, write and understand English as well as comply with the appropriate mandates set forth by FAR.
Upon receiving an aircraft certification students may look forward to a rewarding career in the
Airline and aviation industries. Students who graduate from the Flight Control Academy should expect to see a starting salary of $22,000 to $30,000 with benefits and may make upwards of $90,000 with experience at major airlines.
