Vero Beach, FL 32960

Flight Safety Academy, an institution dedicated to Aviation training, is backed by its parent organization FlightSafety International, a foundation established in 1951. According to its Web site, the Flight Safety Academy still bases its teachings on the thinking that "the best safety device in any aircraft is a well-trained pilot."

Students at the Flight Safety Academy are able to explore three programs: advanced airline, business jet direct, or instructor. Each offers hands-on training from a staff of well-qualified professionals who are some of the best in the field of aviation. The advanced airline program will prepare students to become first officers at a regional airline. The advanced airline program at the Flight Safety Academy is a three-phase program and each step must be completed before moving forward. Students are trained in single-engine and multi-engine skills. Students who wish to enroll in the Flight Safety Academy's business jet direct program will first be screened and awarded a Second in Command designation through one of the center's programs. Students who have already completed a commercial pilot course can further their education through the Flight Safety Academy's instructor program. Students at Flight Safety Academy receive a first-rate education backed by valuable training and career opportunities that range from local businesses to worldwide airlines.
