Focused on the economic development of Upson, Talbot and Taylor counties in the state of Georgia, the Flint River Technical College offers its students a first-rate technical education in a number of areas. The Flint River Technical College features certificate programs, diploma programs, associate degrees, continuing education and adult literacy education. All of the areas of study AIM to provide support to local citizens and employers.

Students may choose to enroll in a degree program, certificate program or a diploma program. Each aims to prepare students for their future career endeavors as well as advance their knowledge within their current occupational standings. Degree programs include studies in health sciences, accounting, administrative office technology, applied manufacturing technology, criminal justice technology, early childhood care and education, electronics technology, management and supervisory development and medical assisting. Diploma programs are offered in more than 20 areas of study. Some of the areas of study include accounting, carpentry, electronics technology, medical assisting, plumbing, practical nursing, surgical technology and welding and joining technology. Certificate programs are offered in approximately 50 different areas of study.

The Flint River technical College also stimulates students' minds through student organizations. Students may get involved with the following organizations: Phi Beta Lambda (a Greek organization for students in postsecondary colleges), National Technical Honor Society, SkillsUSA, student leadership council and the goal award program. Each program helps to develop a well-rounded student.
