Orlando, Florida, the Florida Interactive Entertainment
Academy prepares students for the gaming industry. With the skills and experience gained at the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy, students will be well versed in gaming software, drawing, real-time programming and being an integral part of a game-development team.
The Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy dates back to 2004 when Electronic Arts came to the
University of Central Florida. And by August of 2005, the academy welcomed its first group of students. Today, students may choose undergraduate and graduate level programs in art, programming, and production. The art program offers students the chance to work in teams and use high-tech equipment to produce animations, characters, cinematics and new worlds. The programming track focuses on writing video games, understanding gaming language and being schooled in up-to-date topics within the world of gaming. The production program provides students with an
education that touches on a number of different responsibilities a producer will encounter within the gaming industry.
The academy offers students a video game design school that awards a Master of Science degree in interactive entertainment upon completion. Within the program, graduate students may choose to study within five concentrations.
