Situated in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri, Fontbonne University is a four-year institution of higher learning that is dedicated to the liberal arts and sciences and a Catholic academic tradition. Students of Fontbonne University will find over 30 majors, and more than 25 minors, to choose from. Courses cover everything from advertising, deaf education, computer information science, and religious studies, to pre-law/social science, the fine arts, fashion merchandising, and journalism. Fontbonne University also offers 15 graduate programs in subjects like accounting, computer education, art, taxation, theatre education, family and consumer sciences, and early intervention in deaf education.

Founded in 1923 by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, the Missouri university currently boasts nearly 3,000 students yet maintains a student-faculty ratio of 14 to one. In addition, over two-thirds of the faculty holds a Ph.D. or the highest degree in the field in which they teach.
