Fort Belknap College was established to provide the residents of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation and nearby communities in Montana with educational opportunities to improve lives as well as uphold the rich traditions of the Assiniboine and Gros Ventre tribes.
Fort Belknap College offers two degree options: the associate of science and the associate of arts. Majors in the associate of arts program at Fort Belknap College include
business, early childhood education, elementary education, human services,
liberal arts, American Indian studies, and psychology. Majors in the associate of science program at Fort Belknap College include
Allied Health,
business technology, computer information systems, and natural resource studies. The 29 credits needed to fulfill the general education requirements at Fort Belknap College will also enable students to transfer to a four-year college or university, including those in the
Montana State University System.
Students have found great success at Fort Belknap College. Many have gone on to complete degrees at senior colleges and universities, and some have continued even further to complete graduate degrees.
