Graduates of GBMC are awarded a certificate in radiography making them eligible to file for the examination of certification offered by the national examining board of the
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Upon completion and successful passing of the exam, graduates may apply for state certification.
The GBMC School of Radiology program is competitive and has a limited student capacity. GBMC School of Radiology is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on
education in Radiologic Technology and are approved by the Maryland Higher Education Commission.

The GBMC School of Radiography is a full-time (40 hours a week, Monday through Friday), 23-month continuous certificate program.
The GBMC curriculum provides study in such courses as anatomy and physiology, radiation physics, osteology, topographic anatomy, medical terminology, patient care, image production and evaluation, and radiographic positioning, as well as others.
Clinical experience is required as part of the GBMC program.
Applicants to GBMC School of Radiology must at least have a high school diploma or the equivalent, as well as successfully completing coursework in algebra, geometry, biology, and other subjects.
