The Georgia School of construction is well-known for producing the most talented operators in the industry, with many employers using the school as a resource to recruit new talent. Students can take classes in three-, six-, or 12-week periods. This Georgia School is accredited by the National Center for Construction education and Research.

A normal day starts out around 6 a.m. in the classroom. During this time, students learn about soils, reading grades, and safety. When class ends, students get to do hands-on experience in the field. Instructors give students real-life scenarios and plenty of opportunities to learn.

The training programs are designed to give students the basics in the heavy equipment industry and basic heavy equipment operation. Besides learning about equipment operations, students will learn about machine maintenance, first aid certification, and equipment operation. Students who graduate from the school have a myriad of employment opportunities, including excavation companies, underground contractors, utility contractors, plumbing, electrical, sand and gravel pits, landscapers, mining operations, and pool contractors.

The Career Services office is a main focus on campus. Counselors can help students with interviewing skills, resume preparation, and job searching techniques. The Career Services office offers students a chance to do interviews and meet with employers. It also offers students a national employer database, filled with employers. There is also an in-house career fairs with top employers who are invited to interview students and graduates on a one-one basis.

As for housing, the Georgia School of Construction has a special rate arrangement with extended stay hotels near the area. This takes the stress out of commuting. It also includes the amenities of maid service, plus a fully furnished room with a phone, kitchen, and study desk. The rooms are clean and comfortable, which is helpful for studying.
