Grand Valley state university is a four-year, Public university. This liberal arts school provides undergraduate and graduate education in more than 200 areas of studies.

The residential main campus in Allendale is located midway between Grand Rapids and Lake Michigan. The downtown Pew Campus is located in the heart of Grand Rapids. The urban location puts students closer to employment, internships, and community outreach programs. Classes are also offered at Meijer Campus in Holland, and through centers at Muskegon and Traverse City community colleges.
