Whether you're after a full-blown associate degree or simply a professional certificate, Grayson County community college (GCC) is your one-stop shop for an affordable education. The school currently operates four campuses in Denison, Bonham, and Van Alstyne as well as a Center for Workplace Learning in Denison and an online university for students. For students looking to transfer to a four-year institution, Grayson County Community College offers associate degree programs in the areas of business, healthcare professions, education, math and science, and computer programming. Grayson County Community College also sponsors an annual Transfer Day in which both local and nationally-known colleges and universities come to campus in search of transfer students. Representatives from last year's Transfer Day included The University of Texas at Dallas, Sam Houston State College, and Texas A&M Commerce. For students looking to jump directly into their career, the school offers certificate programs in areas ranging from Analog Circuits to Welding.

Academically gifted students are invited to join Grayson County Community College's Honors College. Honors College students take small, specialized classes (usually 15 to 25 people per class), receive one-on-one mentoring from faculty members, have the opportunity to compete for Honors-only scholarships, and receive a special Honors designation on their diplomas.

Low-cost campus housing is available for students as well as free academic advising, financial aid counseling, support services for disabled students, and transfer assistance. The Grayson County Community College Career Services office also offers career planning and counseling services, job search help, on campus job fairs, resume-writing seminars, and career support for both upcoming grads and alumni in employment limbo.

Student life at Grayson County Community College is lively. The school supports four varsity sports teams (men's baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, and softball), all of which compete through the National Junior College Athletic Association. Other on campus clubs range from religious groups to political action organizations to social clubs.
