Green River
community college (GRCC), named after the river that flows through the campus, is committed to the environment in which it inhabits. Students are able to enjoy the beautiful campus and its forested growth due to Green River's dedication to ecological integrity. A two-year public college in the state of Washington, Green River offers associate degrees and certificates in academic, professional, and vocational programs. Approximately 9,000 students -- both full-time and part-time -- attend Green River and are representative of the growing diversity on campus.
At Green River
Community College, there is as much to do outside of the classrooms as there is to do within them. There are dozens of student activities and programs, ranging from Forestry Club and Teachers of Tomorrow to intramural sports and student government. Green River athletics also has five men's sports teams and six women's sports teams for students to participate in and support. In addition, Green River has the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa international honor society on campus, which recognizes outstanding scholarship among two-year college students.

Community College is committed to creating opportunities for student success. Student resources are in place to assist students in their academic pursuits and personal lives. The Writing Center offers consulting services for students in all stages of the writing process while the Math Learning Center is available to assist students with their math studies alongside tutors and other resources. The Career and Advising Center offers extensive educational and career planning services for current, former, and prospective students. Women's Programs, Diversity Services, and Disability Support Services are committed to meeting the needs of all students and providing support in a variety of areas. Through its excellent staff and innovative services Green River strives to improve the lives of its students and enable them to meet their personal and educational goals.
