The mission of Guilford Technical community college (GTCC) in North Carolina is simple: to equip the residents of Guilford County with the training, skills, and education they need to successfully compete in the job market of today. GTCC has over 12,000 students enrolled in curriculum programs and over 23,000 participating in continuing education programs. To meet the needs of its diverse student population, Guilford Technical Community College offers associate degrees, certificates, career-related programs, college transfer programs and a variety of personal and professional development classes at four different campus locations. With courses offered on campus and online, with subject areas ranging from business administration to fire protection to interior design and everything in between, GTCC has something for everyone.

Students at Guilford Technical Community College enjoy life both in and out of the classrooms. There are dozens of academic, political, professional, religious, and service-oriented clubs and organizations in which GTCC students can participate. The athletic department at Guilford Technical Community College has consisted of men's basketball, women's volleyball, and cheerleading; however, 2007-2008 will be the inaugural season for the men's baseball team. Being part of a Titan's team, club, or organization helps enrich the educational experience of Guilford Technical Community College students by developing their leadership skills and collaborative abilities in a positive environment.

Guilford Technical Community College focuses on the community as well as its students. The business and Industry Services division of GTCC has extensive programs that provide training and education for the businesses within the community. Through GTCC Biz2Go the college is able to promote economic growth and meet the specific needs of individual companies. The Children's Center, the GTCC Cosmetology Salon, the Cline Observatory and the GTCC Theatre are just some of the components of GTCC that offer fabulous opportunities for both students and community members to experience.
