Academy of Medical Arts -- a private, vocational institution in San Mateo, California -- offers an extensive variety of healthcare programs including Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound Technology), Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, Psychiatric Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, and Medical Assistant.

health care facilities.
The MRI Technology program is a full-time, 52-week course of study. The MRI program is designed to meet requirements by the Joint Review Commission on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the Association of Educators in Radiological Sciences (AERS), and the
American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).
The Psychiatric Technician program equips students with the technical, clinical, and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in the challenging field of caring for mentally disordered or developmentally disabled clients. A certificate is awarded upon completion of the program.
The Phlebotomy Technician program consists of 80 hours for people who plan to work for a clinical laboratory, public health department, clinic, or hospital. Students receive a certificate of completion and become eligible for certification in the State of California as a Certified Phlebotomist Technician level 1 through DHS, Field Services.
The Medical Assistant program trains students to perform duties under the direction of a doctor in private or group practices, clinics, and other medical facilities. Upon completion of the program, graduates can complete the optional state certification exam.
