H. Council Trenholm State Technical College is a professional technical college located in Montgomery, Alabama. The school was created in 2000 as a result of the merger between John M. Patterson State Technical College and H. Council Trenholm State Technical College. H. Council Trenholm State Technical College has two campuses, the Patterson campus and the Trenholm campus. Both campuses have been in operation since the 1960s.
H. Council Trenholm State Technical College is a part of the Alabama Community College System. The other colleges in the system include:

H. Council Trenholm State Technical College offers a wide variety of programs of study. Additionally, the school offers an adult education/GED program for students needing it.
There are various admissions requirements for programs at the school. In general, prospective students wishing to enroll at H. Council Trenholm State Technical College must have a high school diploma or GED for all of the associate degree programs and most of the certificate and diploma programs; must complete a Compass exam, or have SAT or ACT exam scores. Students who have attended other colleges or universities must also provide a transcript from those schools.
