Abilene, TX 79698 Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, is a private, coeducational university affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Hardin-Simmons University's Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program was the first to be approved in Texas, and is the only transitional DPT program in Texas for licensed physical therapists wanting to upgrade their degrees.
