The Hartford College for Women is affiliated with the University of Hartford since 1991. The college's Academic Express offers accelerated courses and flexible scheduling to meet the needs of nontraditional students who work and/or manage homes and families. Academic Express offers a college degree that will increase students' employment opportunities and earning potential.

HCW's Career Counseling Center was founded 1968, as the first career counseling for women in Connecticut and one of the first in the nation. The Career Counseling Center offers counseling and development services, as well as continuing and professional education. Additionally, the Career Counseling Center offers job-training programs for displaced homemakers and women interested in various professions.

Founded in 1985, the Entrepreneurial Center offers comprehensive training, education, and technical assistance to women and men who are or wish to become small business owners. The Entrepreneurial Center focuses developing the business as well as the business owner.
