Founded in 1957, Harvey Mudd College is liberal arts college that also happens to offer the country's premiere degree programs in engineering, science, and mathematics. This California college is a small community of just over 700 students and 80 faculty members, making it one of the most selective colleges in the nation.

Harvey Mudd College offers the following majors: biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, math, and physics. Despite its Bachelor of Science programs, Harvey Mudd College still maintains its identity as a liberal arts college in that its curriculum requires all students to complete two semesters of coursework in the humanities and social sciences.
