Hope College is a private, coeducational
liberal arts college accredited by the North Central Association. Chartered in 1866, this
Michigan Christian college aims to provide a faith-based education while welcoming students from all religious backgrounds.
Undergraduate students at Hope College can pursue a bachelor's degree in
liberal arts or choose from more than 80 majors in the areas of Arts, Music, Science, or
nursing. Active learning and independent work are encouraged, and Hope College has placed in the top five for undergraduate research in the
U.S. News and World Report's guide to America's Best Colleges.
The Hope College campus is located Michigan's resort town of Holland, on Lake Macatawa and five miles from Lake Michigan. Students can compete for one of 19 NCAA Division III athletic teams or participate in intramural ice hockey, lacrosse, sailing, or Ultimate Frisbee. Hope College also boasts a strong arts program, including independent films at the Knickerbocker Theater, Q&A sessions with visiting writers, and performances by campus musical groups.
